Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.
Mörsil School operates from preschool class to grade 9, as well as adapted primary school and after-school care. In the upper grades, Mörsil School receives students from other schools in the municipality and currently has about 320 students. Mörsil School is now looking for a teacher/special teacher for teaching in the adapted primary school combined with teaching in the school's newly started resource track.
The adapted primary school in Mörsil is growing, and more and more students are finding their way here; the school's newly started resource track is also in a startup phase! This means that you as a teacher will be part of a development journey. You will be part of an engaged and professional team with student resources and have collaboration opportunities with other teachers and special educators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The idea behind the combined position is to alternate teaching in the adapted primary school's subject group with teaching in the resource track's middle school group. You will have close collaboration with another teacher, and together you will teach both groups and divide subjects between you.
- Plan and conduct teaching for students (in some subjects such as Swedish, English, Mathematics, as well as SO and NO).
- Assess students' knowledge.
- Conduct pedagogical mapping and follow up and evaluate action programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues regarding students' learning, abilities, needs, and social development.
- Mentorship is included in the assignment.
As a teacher, you have a good ability to create engagement and interest in developing and supporting each student's learning and knowledge development. In teaching, you have clear leadership and good structure, you remove obstacles in teaching and create a good learning environment. You actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and in the school's development work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are primarily looking for a licensed teacher with broad qualifications, or alternatively a qualified special teacher with a focus on IF. It is advantageous if you have experience teaching in adapted primary school or in a special education group. Experience working closely with students in need of special support, students with IF, autism, or other neuropsychiatric disabilities is also advantageous.
As a person, we see that you are proactive, have a high degree of personal maturity, and good collaboration skills. You easily build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and have a sense of responsibility for teaching. Collaboration and well-being are important factors for the team, and you contribute to a positive work environment for both colleagues and students.
You need to be flexible, creative, and have a great deal of professional patience. You have a stable and secure personality and a low-arousal approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The position is vacant provided that there is no redundancy, need for reassignment, or priority in the municipality. A probationary period may apply.
