Kastalskolan is hiring a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences

Kastalskolan is a school for grades 4-9 with approximately 400 students. The school is located in Brunflo with a mixed catchment area, including parts of the town center and some rural areas. All activities at the school are permeated by the belief that "we focus on providing a good education that stimulates students' curiosity and desire to learn". We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, school counselor, and school psychologist. Your new job

As a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, you will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring our students in mathematics and natural science subjects. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the school's governing documents and considering each student's individual needs and conditions.

You are expected to contribute to a positive and creative work environment where learning and collegial support are the focus. Your work will be characterized by collaboration with colleagues, where you work together for continuous pedagogical development and to create the best conditions for students' success.

The position can also be combined with other subjects if desired.

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Are a certified teacher with a focus on mathematics and natural science subjects.
  • Have the ability to adapt teaching to meet students' individual needs and conditions.
  • Have the ability to assess students' knowledge and skills in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Desirable

  • Have experience working in schools and knowledge of the school's governing documents.
  • Have experience with the school's systematic development work by contributing to collegial learning and pedagogical discussions.

You are a pedagogical and engaged teacher who has the ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment where every student is seen and has the opportunity to develop as far as possible. You adapt your teaching to the different needs of the students and show flexibility in your approach to meet each student where they are.

You are proactive and like to drive development work forward, both in your own teaching and together with colleagues. As a person, you are structured and plan your teaching in a thoughtful and effective way that benefits students' learning and development.

You value collaboration and see the work in the subject team as an important part of the school's development. By sharing experiences and ideas, you contribute to collegial learning where the content and methods of teaching are developed systematically.

The position will commence at the start of the school year in autumn 2026.
