Funäsdalen School

Funäsdalen School is a K-9 school with an attached after-school program. The school is centrally located in the village at the foot of Funäsdalsberget, with a view of Funäsdalssjön and the gondola as our nearest neighbor. The proximity to nature greatly influences the operations, which literally has a ski-in ski-out location.

The school currently has 250 students, of which about 80 are enrolled in the after-school program. Our approximately 40 employees consist of teachers, educators, student health teams, and the principal.

Western Härjedalen is developing, and our schools are growing. We are now looking for 2-3 after-school educators for Funäsdalen's after-school program. The positions can vary between full-time and part-time. We apply a probationary employment period, and the start date can be agreed upon. Positions will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

Job Responsibilities

The role of after-school educator involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the operations within the after-school program together with colleagues. Work may also occur in other parts of the school's operations, for example, as a resource in the classroom during school hours. You view collegial learning as a prerequisite for student development and look forward to working closely in a team, towards set goals, with students in focus. The after-school program, with its compensatory mission, is a resource and an element in the students' school day, both during lesson time and breaks.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed after-school educator and is well acquainted with current governing documents. You have experience and knowledge of how to best contribute to students' increased understanding based on an individualized approach. The work requires high flexibility as needs and conditions change. We value skills such as the ability to collaborate, communicate, and solve problems. Personal suitability is highly valued.

For this position, presenting a criminal record extract is a prerequisite for employment.
