Krokom is a municipality with just over 15,000 inhabitants, located in Jämtland County. The Department of Children and Education, with approximately 800 employees, is responsible for the operations of primary schools F-9, adapted primary schools, leisure centers, preschools, student health, food and cleaning services, and library operations. We have 16 primary schools and 21 preschools spread throughout the municipality.

Aspås School has about 100 students in grades F-6, of which 60 children are enrolled in the leisure center. We work closely together at the school to create holistic solutions for the students. The work is based on the student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the day. The school is located close to nature with a rich outdoor environment. We place great emphasis on work related to safety and well-being, where values-based work is highly prioritized. Leisure center and school development is a significant part of the school's collective effort to achieve better knowledge results.

A Day as a Leisure Teacher at Aspås School

The position is part of the F-6 work team where leisure and classroom teachers collaborate and share responsibility for the students throughout the day. The main task in the job is at the leisure center and to teach physical education at the school. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities at the leisure center together with your colleagues. You are also responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating physical education lessons.

Teaching and stimulating students according to municipal and national goals is the main task of the job. Inspiring, motivating, and igniting curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need is another important part of the work, as well as supporting students in their personal development.

Other important tasks in the teaching profession include recognizing developmental needs and driving the development of the operations towards set goals and contributing to the overall development of the school. There are great opportunities for you to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the operations' working methods together with your colleagues.

Your Competence

Teacher training and certification with qualifications in leisure education and physical education. You are well acquainted with the governing documents of the leisure center and school and can implement them in daily work.

Experience working with “Frippar” as a pedagogical document for planning, implementation, and development is an advantage.

Experience in NPF-secured teaching is also an advantage.
