Are you a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language and eager for new challenges? At Hermods Östersund, we are now looking for a new colleague for our Komux operations, where we offer subject levels from theoretical upper secondary programs and sales and service, as well as courses at the basic level. The students studying with us include those who study independently in a distance-based format as well as those who attend classes on-site and remotely.

Job Description

The position includes teaching and mentoring in Swedish as a second language physically at our school in Östersund, as well as via hybrid/remote solutions and distance learning in upper secondary and basic subject levels/courses in Swedish as a second language. Your role will primarily involve teaching, mentoring, monitoring students' progress, assessment, and grading in our digital learning platform Omniway, as well as coordinating the implementation of national tests. You will be part of our positive team where we work together to help each individual reach their goals. Mentoring for students is conducted both individually and in groups. The position includes evening teaching one evening a week.

Your Profile

You are a certified teacher in Swedish as a second language for upper secondary school, with the competence and experience required by the Education Act and are well acquainted with the mission of adult education. You are a positive and engaged person who focuses on the quality of teaching and the students. Adult education is a dynamic field, so it is an advantage if you have an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Our operations require flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. You need to be able to handle common programs in the Office suite and be comfortable working in various digital environments. Experience with remote teaching is a plus.
