University Lecturer in Psychology
The department operates at Campus Sundsvall and Campus Östersund. The activities include education and research in pedagogy, psychology, and social work.
Responsibilities
The position as a university lecturer in psychology primarily involves teaching in our courses focused on clinical psychology and psychological treatment within the psychology program.
Courses in other programs may also be included in the responsibilities. The tasks include teaching, course development, and administration. The lecturer position involves teaching, such as lectures, seminars, and laboratory work, both on campus and online, as well as examination of courses, etc. The position also includes work at the psychology program's student reception, including triage, assessment, clinical guidance, and daily operations. Additionally, course planning, course development, and administrative tasks such as scheduling, course coordination, and grading reporting are included.
Qualifications

Eligible for the position as a university lecturer in psychology is someone who has obtained a Master's degree with psychology as the main subject or has equivalent competence in the relevant subject area.
In addition to the general eligibility for employment as a lecturer as stated in Mittuniversitetet's employment regulations, a psychology degree and Swedish psychologist license are required for this position.
Other Requirements
The candidate must:
- demonstrate pedagogical skills through verified certificates.
- have completed higher education pedagogical training or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
- have experience of clinical treatment work in practice.
The position also requires high availability at Campus Östersund and very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who is attentive, has good collaboration skills, and enjoys building connections and collaborating internally and externally. You should be stable and able to handle stressful situations calmly. We also expect you to be structured and able to independently plan and carry out your work responsibly.
Assessment Criteria
The assessment criteria for hiring a university lecturer include the degree of skill required for eligibility for the position. The evaluation of pedagogical skills should receive equal attention as the assessment of other eligibility criteria.
Experience working at a training reception for psychology students is an advantage. Experience in clinical work involving assessment, treatment, and investigation is also advantageous.
Documented experience of teaching at the academic level in clinical psychology and psychological treatment is meritorious.
Previous experience working with learning platforms is also an advantage. Furthermore, good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form is advantageous, as course literature often appears in English and some teaching may be conducted in English.
