Job Responsibilities

We at Myrvikens School are now looking for a handful of new colleagues in a range of subjects. The main task as a teacher is to teach and inspire students based on governing documents. Learning can occur in many ways; all students are different and have different needs. You will constantly receive immediate feedback on your efforts in the form of curious questions, raised eyebrows, laughter, and discussions that arise.

Teaching and stimulating students based on municipal and national goals is the main task of the job. Inspiring, motivating, and awakening curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need themselves is another important part of the job, as well as supporting students in their personal development so that they function socially in society. Other important tasks in the teaching profession include recognizing development needs and driving the development of the organization towards set goals and contributing to the school's development. There are great opportunities for you to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the organization's working methods together with your colleagues.

The following positions are permanent, and the positions can be combined based on qualifications.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in one or more of the subjects within the framework of the positions above, or who have another pedagogical education that is deemed equivalent. We see that you are well acquainted with the national governing documents for primary school operations. If you have previous experience in the profession, as well as from systematic development work, we consider it an advantage. You need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality. Knowledge of the South Sámi language and culture is therefore an advantage.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are secure and stable. Furthermore, you have a good ability to effectively take responsibility, plan, organize, and prioritize your work. We also see that you can create and maintain good relationships with others, are attentive, and have good empathetic ability. You have the empathetic ability to understand students' needs and meet them where they are, as well as to listen, encourage, stimulate, and challenge them to develop further. You have good collaboration skills and an inclusive approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability based on these qualities.
