Änge School is a F-9 school with approximately 250 students. We work closely together to create holistic solutions for the students. Our work is based on the student's potential for development and learning throughout the day.

The Department of Education and Childcare has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue, and library services.

A Day as a Swedish/English Teacher at Änge School

You will teach and inspire students in grades 7-9 in English and Swedish. As a teacher, you will help develop the school's pedagogical activities. You are a clear and structured leader in the classroom with good pedagogical skills in teaching.

You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and have the students' learning in focus. You have the ability to see the individual needs of students and can meet them based on their conditions. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and analyze, evaluate, and develop your teaching based on students' conditions, needs, and results. You contribute to student influence and participation and have various tools to work formatively and language-developing in your teaching.

You are a team player and see collaboration as a natural part of succeeding in your role. You have the ability to create good relationships and communicate clearly with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Your Competence

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and English at the upper secondary level.

You feel secure in the role of teacher and have the knowledge and practical skills required for the position. In your role as a teacher, you should have a good understanding of the school's mission and be well acquainted with the current curriculum and other governing documents. Based on this, you should have the ability to plan your teaching and allow students to participate in the design. You believe in students' willingness and ability to succeed, and you constantly seek ways to develop your teaching to provide your students with the best conditions. You are self-sufficient and have the ability to carry out your work independently. You contribute to collegial learning with colleagues across all subjects by fostering a positive, solution-focused work climate in the teams.
