Do you want to work to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development and learn for life? Do you want a leading role in an organization that is growing and developing?

Welcome to us!

We are looking for a qualified leisure teacher/recreational pedagogue for Trångsviken School.

At Trångsviken Primary School F-6, there are about 55 students. We work closely together between the school and the after-school program to create holistic solutions for all students and demonstrate that differences bring strengths. The work is based on the student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the day.

Trångsviken is a community about 40 minutes from Östersund and equally far from Åre. Here, there is proximity to the waters of Storsjö, beautiful forest areas, and a nice schoolyard with opportunities for many different activities for our students.

The Department of Education and Child Care has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend throughout the municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school programs, food and cleaning services, mother tongue, and library services.

A day as a teacher in the after-school program at Trångsviken School

You will work in a team that has a common mission regarding our students in Trångsviken's after-school program. You will also work in class during the school day, and the assignment may vary based on your qualifications, strengths, and abilities. It requires you to be good at communicating and collaborating with your closest colleagues both in the after-school program and in the school. Each week, time is set aside for team work where there is time for collaboration around the students and the activities. Focus areas that the school has had over time include relational leadership. Collaboration and participation should permeate the activities both in the after-school program, classrooms, and among staff.

The main task is to conduct teaching in the after-school program. You will be responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-ups. Collaboration with the rest of the team and the home is essential to ensure that students have the opportunity to develop as far as possible.

Learning can occur in many ways, and all students are different and have different needs. The need to adapt the activities to meet everyone is a large and important task.

Teaching and stimulating students based on municipal and national goals is the main task of the work. Inspiring, motivating, and sparking curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need is another important part of the job, as is supporting students in their personal development so that they function socially in society.

Other important tasks include identifying development needs and driving the development of the activities towards set goals and contributing to the school's development. There are great opportunities for you to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the working methods of the activities together with your colleagues.

To thrive in the role, you see the team as a resource, and it is natural for you to positively contribute to solving common tasks. We place great importance on your interest in participating in development work and your ability to collaborate.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work.

A message from your future principal

As principal, I actively work with my core values: heart, together, and frameworks.

The heart for us at Trångsviken School is to create a warmer and more welcoming climate than in other places. You should feel important, seen, and heard, whether you are an employee, student, or visitor.

The concept of together means to me that we always help each other, and it is a whole. It is everyone's children, everyone's responsibility, and we are never alone but are there for each other.

The frameworks for me mean that you should know what expectations exist for you but also what expectations we have for our students. You should also know what you can expect from me as a principal.
