Ås School is a K-9 school with an attached after-school program. Here, 500 students are divided into three stages: K-3, 4-6, and 7-9. Ås School has a high percentage of qualified educators, and students are offered a good quality of education. We actively work with collegial learning and conduct systematic development work together with student health services. We care about each other's and the students' work environment and work purposefully with safety and well-being, knowledge development, as well as leadership and management.

The Department of Education and Child Care has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, K-9 primary school, adapted primary school, after-school programs, food and cleaning services, mother tongue education, and library services.

A Day as a Spanish Teacher

The main task in the job is to teach and inspire students in grades 6-9 based on municipal and national goals. Another important part is to identify development needs and drive the development of the activities towards established goals and to be an important part of the school's development. You will be an important part of the work team and together with students and colleagues create conditions for learning and knowledge transfer. There are great opportunities to use your skills and experiences to further develop the working methods of the activities together with your colleagues. Learning can occur in many ways, and all students are different and have different needs.

Your Competence

Teacher education with qualification and certification for grades 6-9 in Spanish. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can apply them in daily work. We place great importance on your interest in participating in development work, your ability to collaborate and communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a person, you are calm and place great importance on building good relationships. You see collaboration as a prerequisite for a good work environment. You have the empathetic ability to understand students' needs and meet them where they are, as well as to listen, encourage, stimulate, and challenge them to continue developing.

Additional Information

Permanent employment starting 2026-08-12. Teaching Spanish at 50% or alternatively at 100% in combination with a position at another school in the municipality. Krokom Municipality offers a benefits portal and wellness allowance or wellness time. The application deadline is 2026-03-20.

Krokom, the Municipality in the Heart of Jämtland
