Torvallaskolan is a grades 7-9 school with approximately 235 students. Our school is an inspiring workplace where we put the student in focus. Your new job
We are now looking for a teacher for grades 7-9, preferably with qualifications in Swedish and possibly Social Studies, to Torvallaskolan. This school year, a large part of your position will involve student support activities.
The position is a special fixed-term employment during the spring term of 2026.
Start date: As soon as possible
You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. This term, you will teach students in grade 7 in the subject of Swedish, where you will educate and support students in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others.
At Torvallaskolan, you will be offered exciting assignments, work in modern facilities, and opportunities for development.
Your role may also involve mentorship for some of our students. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to closely follow their academic development and personal growth. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the student's guardians updated on the student's academic progress through regular development conversations.
Common tasks
- Plan and implement teaching according to the curriculum.
- Collaborate with the team regarding teaching.
- Grade students.
- Document in the operational system.
- Create a good learning environment.
Your qualifications
- You have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply these in daily work.
- You have a strong interest in developing teaching and supporting students in their learning process.
- Your view of students aligns with the values and intentions of the curriculum.
- You have a strong interest in pedagogical challenges and dare to challenge yourself and your colleagues to think about development.
- You have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you have worked with digital systems aimed at schools.
- Previous experience in schools is an advantage.
- Previous work experience is an advantage.

You who have clear leadership in the classroom and the ability to engage and inspire the group you teach. You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way in teaching and school life. Who are you?
You are a certified teacher or a person with previous experience in schools or knowledge and experience sufficient to substitute for us. You may have already supported students with different needs and know how to adapt teaching to meet them. Very good knowledge of the Swedish language and a good understanding of the school's governing documents are essential for the role. Computer skills are also necessary, as we sometimes work digitally.
