Junibackens preschool has 2 departments with space for 34 children. The work is based on a holistic view of children and their needs, where care, development, and learning form a whole. We are looking for a preschool teacher with a co-researching approach that contributes to creating supportive teaching environments. We seek a brave colleague who dares to challenge themselves and others with a focus on driving development forward. The Department of Children and Education has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, nutrition and cleaning, mother tongue, and library services.

A Day as a Preschool Teacher at Junibacken

In our municipality, you start from the children's interests, needs, and experiences. You plan the learning processes and with a formative approach, you implement, follow up, and evaluate the teaching, anchored in the curriculum. Children's learning is made visible through digital pedagogical documentation, using iPads as working tools.

In addition to systematic quality work, preventive and promoting child health work is carried out in collaboration with our child health teams. As support in your daily work, you have close cooperation with special educators, pedagogical developers, and the principal.

The activities are conducted so that learning objects and learning activities are adapted and varied according to the children's interests, conditions, and needs, so that care, upbringing, and learning form a whole.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. You are well acquainted with the national governing documents for preschool activities.

If you have practical experience with low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy TAKK/AKK, are driven, and have knowledge in developing accessible learning environments, it is meritorious.

In your role as a preschool teacher, you, together with others in the work team, are responsible for planning and conducting the activities and meeting the needs of each individual child. Documentation is an important part of our daily reflections and also in the systematic quality work that moves the activities forward and makes learning visible. We work with inclusion, participation, and accessibility as core ideas. We value your ability to communicate, reflect, take responsibility, collaborate, and that through your creativity you are open to new possibilities.

You should contribute to a good work environment and be a positive and secure leader who meets others with respect and shares your positive energy. You collaborate extensively with preschools in the area and work actively and purposefully for a well-balanced and developing operation according to the governing documents.

Digital competence and interest in ICT are expected.
