RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Student Support Assistant (Elevresurs) for Racklöfska School to work in both the school and the after-school center.
Racklöfska School is located right in the center of Järpen in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County. Approximately 150 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend the school. The school is directly adjacent to wonderful cross-country ski trails, an ice rink, a swimming pool, and a sports hall. The municipal library is within walking distance. The school's location is ideal for educational activities with proximity to sports, nature, and culture. The schoolyard offers excellent opportunities for activities, including street basketball, climbing frames, swings, a small forest area, a sports arena with artificial turf, a sledding hill, a grill area, and a large football pitch. The school is directly adjacent to "Verket" - an activity area with, among other things, a bike and skate park. Several of our outdoor days are spent in our nearby mountains.
The school is organized into three working groups: Grades F-3, Grades 4-6, and the after-school center. At Racklöfska School, we work to ensure that everyone feels well, both students and staff. As a Student Support Assistant, you are an important part of our team. You work closely with one or more students in need of extra support, both inside and outside the classroom. Your mission is to contribute to a safe school day, support students' social and academic development, and collaborate with educators and guardians. You may work with one or more students depending on the needs of the operation.
You have good knowledge regarding NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and meet our students based on research and proven experience.
The work may involve:
- Support in teaching situations
- Social and practical support during the school day
- Collaboration with teachers and student health services regarding adaptations
- Active work to create an inclusive environment
- Possible medical handling

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a school or after-school setting.
- Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

- Medical experience.
Education in pedagogy, child and leisure studies, or similar is an asset, but personal suitability is decisive.
