Are you a relationship-building economist with a passion for accounting? Do you thrive in a role where you can combine operational accounting work with the development of processes and methods? Lantmännen is now looking for an Accounting Economist to strengthen the accounting team within the Agriculture Division. Here, you will be offered a stimulating job in a dynamic corporate environment with great opportunities for development.

This is what you will do

As an Accounting Economist at Lantmännen, you will be part of the Accounting & Reporting team within the Agriculture Division. The team is responsible for supporting the business with accounting and reporting services and ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

In this role, you will work with ongoing accounting, account reconciliations, asset and VAT accounting, as well as the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. You will also be responsible for reporting to the group and participating in the preparation of annual reports and income tax returns. In addition to the operational work, you will contribute with analyses and investigations and actively participate in improvement and efficiency initiatives within the accounting processes.

You will work with several companies within the Agriculture Division and in complex system environments where processes and process development are a major focus. The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with both colleagues and the business.

You will report to the Manager Accounting & Reporting – Financial Control & Services, Agriculture Division. The position is located in Malmö in modern office premises close to the central station.

You have:

  • Post-secondary education in economics or accounting
  • Experience in qualified accounting work/audit experience
  • Practical experience in financial statement preparation (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  • Experience in VAT accounting and account reconciliations
  • Good system skills and experience working in larger financial systems
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is also advantageous if you have:

  • Experience from larger organizations or corporate environments
  • Experience in reporting to a parent company or group
  • Worked with multiple companies simultaneously
  • Participated in or driven process development, efficiency, or digitalization initiatives
  • Experience in annual reports and income tax returns

You are:

  • Independent with a high level of self-leadership and the ability to take responsibility for your deliveries
  • Structured, meticulous, and reliable with a high quality awareness and good prioritization skills, even when the pace is high.
  • Relationship-building and collaborative, with an unpretentious attitude
  • Analytical and solution-oriented with an interest in developing methods and processes
  • Curious and development-driven, with a desire to understand the whole and contribute to improvement

Of course, you share our values – Openness, Holistic View, and Action – and our promise to take responsibility from farm to table.
