About the Defense Staff's Security Department
The Defense Staff supports the Supreme Commander in processing and preparing matters at the military strategic level, as well as ensuring that decisions made by the authority's management are implemented, followed up, and reported back. The Defense Staff is also responsible for translating the government's guidance of the Armed Forces into strategic plans and for directing the branches of the armed forces and combat force commanders. Furthermore, the Defense Staff has an overarching responsibility for coordinating personnel, infrastructure, and material supply.
The Security Department is placed under the Chief of Staff and is responsible for the security service within the Chief of the Defense Staff's operational responsibility. The department consists of the Security Section, the Sua Section, and the Conscription Security Section.
This position is located at the Conscription Security Section.
Main Duties
Your tasks span the entire personnel security area with a focus on conscripts. You will be involved in designing and implementing working methods and routines for conscription security at both central and local levels. Examples of tasks include:
- Preparing documentation and decision support related to security assessments
- Conducting and following up on register checks
- Participating in projects related to the department's area of operation
- Training on issues related to security assessments
- Providing support and guidance to local offices on security assessment issues
- Investigating matters within the personnel security area
The work also involves collaboration with other parts of the Armed Forces and with other authorities.
The primary tasks are to ensure at the central level that security assessments of conscripts are conducted and followed up in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in security service and security protection, or other equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Current and relevant work experience in security service within an authority, preferably personnel security
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Good computer skills
Personal Qualities
You are a curious and stress-resistant person who enjoys varied tasks, both in content and timeframes. You have good collaboration skills but also work independently and take your own initiatives. High integrity and a strong security awareness are important qualities for you.

DESIRABLE
- Current and relevant experience working with conscription and security protection legislation
- Previous experience of staff work within the Armed Forces
- Previous experience as GSS/K or T, Officer, conscript
- Relevant security training
- Trained and/or worked with personnel security and security assessments
- Experience with the Armed Forces' IT systems, such as ISUS

Employment form: Temporary position, at least 1 year.
Employment rate: Full-time
Work location: Stockholm (travel may occur, primarily within the country)
Start date: By agreement
