About the Job

The mission of the Crime Prevention Department is to prevent, combat, and investigate economic crime, serious tax evasion, both nationally and internationally, and the use of population registration as a tool for crime.

We are looking for someone who wants to work with VAT in cross-border trade, such as investigating acquisition fraud, misuse of margin taxation, and carousel trading. Investigations are primarily conducted through audits. We utilize evidence collection, collaboration with other countries, and cooperation with other authorities.

We are also seeking investigators/auditors for other areas where individuals and companies systematically and deliberately reduce or avoid paying taxes. This may involve false invoices, undeclared labor, corporate structures to conceal illegal money transactions, or the improper use of our payment systems. The work also means that you may participate in inter-agency cooperation as part of efforts to prevent and combat crime. You are expected to contribute to a developing work environment and good relationships with internal and external partners.

You will belong to Crime Prevention Unit 4 in the Crime Prevention Department, located in Sundbyberg. There are about 210 colleagues in the unit.

You should also have:

• a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics, law, or another relevant higher education
• current and relevant work experience from economic or auditing work or current and relevant experience from work with in-depth investigations or audits in a government agency.

Good to Know

The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
