The Culture Administration includes the city's libraries, the Culture School, the City Museum, the Medieval Museum, Stockholm Art, Stockholmia Publishing, Liljevalchs Art Hall, and the events department.

The administration also has a cultural strategic unit, a communications unit, and an administrative unit. The Culture Administration has about 950 employees.

Your role

In the role of financial controller, your task is to support the managers within Stockholm's library operations. With your expertise, you help the managers see the connections between operations, staff, and finances. Your role includes explaining these connections clearly and understandably, so that finance becomes a tool for the manager to run the operations in the best way.

You will continuously work with revenue and cost analyses, forecasts, and follow-ups, and participate in the work with budgets, quarterly reports, and annual accounts. You will be involved in developing and driving the administration's financial issues forward. You will also work on producing various types of calculations and decision-making materials. As a financial controller, you will also be responsible for tasks related to accounting and internal control. In your work as a financial controller, you report to the Culture Administration's CFO.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree with a focus on economics
• several years of experience as a financial controller
• good knowledge of financial management as well as follow-up, analysis, and reporting
• very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• high digital competence with experience working in various systems
• good experience in creating and delivering presentations in your role as a financial controller

Meritorious:

• experience working within the City of Stockholm or another politically governed organization
• experience with the financial system Agresso (Unit 4)
• experience with Hypergene (budget and forecasting tool)
• experience in internal control
• experience with project and investment calculations

To succeed in the role of financial controller, it is important that you have several years of experience as a controller and are a communicative and attentive person who appreciates and has the ability to collaborate with others. You are good at working consultatively and can easily build trust with others. We are looking for someone who is results-oriented, takes great personal responsibility, and has a good ability to meet deadlines.

You can clearly and structurally plan, organize, and prioritize your work to achieve set goals. You can quickly familiarize yourself with and work in a new organization.

Finally, you have a very good analytical ability and pedagogical insight. You have the ability and are used to explaining complex relationships, both verbally and in writing, to non-economists.
