Logistics Officer at Central Military Region

Department J4 Central Military Region
We are now looking for two logistics officers for the Central Military Region. As a logistics officer, you will belong to the logistics department, J4. The logistics department carries out planning, management, coordination, and follow-up of logistics at the Central Military Region. The department includes functions such as supply/material service, technical service, transport service, defense medicine, environment, and infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
As a logistics officer, you will, under the leadership of the Head of the Logistics Department, plan and coordinate material handling. Furthermore, you will:
- Manage material administration in various support systems
- Process material and ammunition orders
- Conduct and follow up on inventories
- Support within the entire scope of the department's tasks

Qualifications
- Driving license B

- To thrive in the extensive contact area that the job entails both within and outside the staff, it is important that you are communicative, energetic, and enjoy creating new contacts.
- Good endurance and accuracy as well as the ability to handle rapidly arising tasks.
- Good ability to work independently and in a team.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience in logistics/warehouse administration
- Experience working in SAP systems
- Knowledge of material handling in the Armed Forces
- Experience working in the LIFT system
- Experience working in a military staff
- Knowledge of the Armed Forces' organization and tasks

Employment type: Permanent employment, a six-month probationary period applies if you are not currently working in the Armed Forces

Work location: Kungsängen (the position involves periods of absence from the workplace)

Information about the Armed Forces and the recruiting unit:
The Central Military Region (MR M) is a military unit and an organizational unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Kungsängen. The organization consists of a Chief with staff, six training groups for training and support of the Home Guard, and about 7000 Home Guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units.
The Chief of the Central Military Region with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical leaders who solve tasks within the region. The region also serves as a link between the Armed Forces and civil society, has active cooperation with the county administrative board and region. If necessary, MR M also leads operations, for example, during national crisis situations and support to society. The military region solves tasks in peace, crisis, and war.
The organization and operational area of the Central Military Region cover the geographical counties of Stockholm, Uppsala, Södermanland, Västmanland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. Training groups and the Home Guard are present in each county.
