We are looking for a Traffic Safety Coordinator / Approval Officer for the Subway section within a traffic authority.

The assignment is a consulting position based in Stockholm and involves a 50% working rate.

The assignment entails close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the Approval Officer/Traffic Safety Coordinator involves supporting project managers in the safety area and coordinating and managing safety and approval work in projects. The work includes ensuring that projects meet requirements according to applicable safety management and regulations, as well as preparing documentation for safety certification prior to approval and traffic start.

Responsibilities

Contacts with the Swedish Transport Agency

Participate in project meetings and risk analyses

Ongoing contacts with suppliers' safety departments

Ongoing contact with assessors, signal safety reviewers, and signal usage organizations

Support suppliers in their safety work

Compile and manage SRACs

Be responsible for producing complete safety documentation together with suppliers

Establish and define safety goals and safety plans for programs/projects

Develop an overall timeline for safety and approval work within programs/projects and coordinate this with the overall timeline

Have an overview of applicable technical and safety requirements within the program/project

Be responsible for conducting risk assessments and analyses of a safety nature. Participate in or lead the program's/project's risk management regarding safety risks

Follow up that participants in the project adhere to applicable safety management/regulations, safety plans, and achieve established safety goals

Plan and conduct audits within safety management

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

At least 5 years of experience working on projects according to SS-EN 50126-1.

At least 3 years of experience in safety-related risk management.

At least 3 years of experience working as an Approval Officer according to SS-EN 50126-1.

At least 5 years of experience driving processes, requesting and managing all necessary documents required for government approval.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

Desirable

At least 9 years of experience working in a leading/coordinating role within rail traffic.

At least 3 years of experience managing SRACs. NOTE! It must be stated in the CV that one has managed SRACs.

At least 3 years of experience working with CSM-RA (according to EU/402/2013, EU/2015/1136).
