Administrator in Operational Safety

Do you want to help create a safe, sustainable, and law-abiding organization? The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) is now recruiting an administrator in operational safety for the operational safety department based in Stockholm.

About Operational Safety

Operational safety is a collective term within the Swedish Armed Forces that focuses on preventing accidents and injuries in all operations, both for personnel and equipment. FMTIS operates in land, sea, and air. As an Operational Safety Administrator, you will provide strategic and operational support to management in these areas. You will help ensure that operations meet legal requirements and internal guidelines regarding work environment, electrical safety, BVKF, external environment, and fire safety. The role involves driving development, coordinating efforts, and providing input for decisions made by higher management. The role also includes administrative staff work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be a qualified management support in operational safety issues, such as work environment, electrical safety, external environment, and BVKF
  • Support managers in conducting risk assessments and operational safety analyses
  • Follow up on routines, guidelines, and governing documents
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to training and skills enhancement in the field of operational safety

The position requires travel to the unit's operational locations, as the operations are spread across multiple sites.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Relevant university education in work environment or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Driver's license at least class B (Manual transmission)

DESIRABLE

  • Good knowledge of legislation and regulations regarding electrical safety, external environment, BVKF, and fire safety
  • Previous experience in staff work within a government agency.

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the authority.
