At the Security Unit of the Municipal Executive Office, we are 12 employees working to make Eskilstuna a safe and secure municipality to live and work in. We support, coordinate, and develop the municipality's work in security and preparedness.

We work with crime prevention, safe public environments, security protection, crisis preparedness, and total defense.

We are now looking for a substitute for parental leave from 2026-03-01 to 2027-04-01.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a developer with us, you will help drive and develop the municipality's crime prevention and safety-enhancing work. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

Your tasks will include:

• Developing and analyzing situational reports according to the law (2023:196) on municipalities' responsibility for crime prevention work.
• Coordinating the municipality's collaboration with the Police through a collaboration agreement (SöK).
• Working with EST Effective coordination for increased safety.
• Contributing to the development of a new GIS platform for crime prevention and safety-enhancing work.
• Preparing decision-making materials and responding to referrals.
• Leading or participating in internal investigations, such as environmental monitoring and development work.
• Writing guidelines, for example, in the area of threats and violence as well as police reports.

You will also participate in the municipality's crisis management team as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in criminology or another education that we consider equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. Experience working in a larger politically governed organization is an advantage.

The work requires flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks and switch between different assignments. You enjoy collaborating with others and contribute to a positive work environment while taking responsibility for both your own and the group's work. You find it easy to familiarize yourself with new tasks and prefer to work based on changing conditions. The role suits you if you want to improve working methods, are good at planning and prioritizing, see the whole in the organization, and have a strong interest in society.

Other:

For the position, Swedish citizenship is required. A driver's license (B) is an advantage. The position is security classified, which means we conduct a security screening interview before employment. We have high demands for security and confidentiality awareness and place great importance on personal suitability.
