About us

Region Sörmland is one of the largest employers in the county with approximately 10,000 employees. The economics department is tasked with delivering quality services to the region's operations and the residents of Sörmland. The economics department owns, operates, coordinates, develops, manages, and anchors the region's overall economic processes and economic tools.

The position is organized within the management support unit for health and medical care, which is responsible for controller support within the health and medical care area and consists of 16 colleagues distributed across three locations in the county.

The place of employment is Nyköping or Eskilstuna with the possibility to work from home to some extent. You will collaborate with others within the economics department, operational managers, unit managers, and other staff functions. Travel during working hours may occur.

Your tasks

As a controller, you will work as support in financial matters for a handful of operations with the mission to assist the operations in the planning and follow-up process. Your tasks include:

  • Supporting the operation in the development of operational plans and budgets.
  • Assisting the operation with result follow-up and forecasts.
  • Ensuring that budgets and forecasts are administered in relevant systems.
  • Ensuring that the financial results are quality assured, fair, and correct.
  • Supporting the operation in calculations and participating in the development of pricing models.
  • Assisting the operation in the investment process.
  • Conducting analyses and benchmarking to measure efficiency and productivity in the operation.
  • Supporting the operation in various forms of production and capacity planning.
  • Responsible for and conducting training within the economic area.

As a controller, you will be offered a stimulating job where economic work is combined with development assignments and collaboration with both managers and colleagues. You have expert knowledge in the economic field and use it to support operations within Region Sörmland. In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of the region's internal routines and processes.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in economics or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have a few years of experience as a controller and/or qualified economic work. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.

Your personal qualities are important to us. We believe you are analytical, structured, and can express yourself well in both speech and writing, combined with a good pedagogical ability. Since the work involves many contacts, it is important that you are outgoing, positive, and have the ability to both inspire and create trust.

It is important that you can handle both details and the big picture and that you view the varied tasks positively. We further believe that you are a team player who sees collaboration as a key to success and that you have a drive to develop.

Employment type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.
