Development Leader for Sustainable Growth
Do you want to contribute to sustainable development in the Stockholm region? Do you have experience working with issues related to integration, migration, or social exclusion? Then we are eager to learn more about you.
What does the role involve?
You will belong to the Department for Sustainable Growth, placed in the Unit for Regional Development and Inclusion. In the unit, we work to support and develop reception and initiatives for newcomers, unaccompanied children, asylum seekers, and those in need of protection from Ukraine. We allocate state grants, contribute to knowledge and experience exchange, and monitor the region's reception to provide a comprehensive regional overview. Our assignments and the needs and rights of our target groups are closely linked to broader mandates within the agency and address issues of social sustainability and exclusion. The unit also has assignments related to growth-promoting work, business development, EU coordination, basic payment services, regulatory simplification, and gender equality integration, children's rights, and human rights.
As a development leader, you will primarily:
- support your colleagues in the agency's integration-related assignments.
- process, follow up, and report on matters related to state grants.
- collaborate with municipalities regarding reception.
- compile documentation and be responsible for reporting on assignments.
- take on other tasks based on the needs of the operation.
Are you the one we are looking for?
For this role, we would like you to have:
- experience working with refugee reception and the establishment of newcomers at the national, regional, or municipal level.
- experience writing reports and compiling documentation.
- experience in case management within public operations.
- experience in collaborative work among multiple stakeholders in the integration field.
- experience organizing seminars and conferences.
- experience working in a process-oriented manner.
- good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- very good ability to express yourself simply and pedagogically in speech and writing.
- the ability to evaluate information to make accurate, balanced, and legally sound assessments and priorities.
- the willingness and ability to contribute to a good working environment.
As a person, you are:
independent in prioritizing your tasks and accustomed to handling multiple cases simultaneously. You are solution-oriented, driven, initiative-taking, and attentive, while also being unpretentious and helpful in your collaboration with others. Since you will primarily support colleagues and there will be many changes in the field, you need to be flexible and able to switch tasks at short notice. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:
- be able to make decisions with consideration of multiple perspectives from a holistic view.
- understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to balance different interests.
- be able to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.
It is an advantage if you have:
- good knowledge of the laws, regulations, and policies governing operations within refugee reception, such as housing, education, and the labor market.
- experience working with projects and/or handling project applications.
- experience working with civil society actors.
