Administrator at the Department of War Studies

Responsibilities
As an administrator at the Department of War Studies, you will continuously provide administrative support to the department's centers, doctoral education, and civil master's program. In your role as an administrator, you will assist with planning support and materials for steering group meetings, taking notes and meeting minutes, and compiling materials for reporting to organizational leaders.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining networks with relevant stakeholders and for disseminating information both internally and externally. You will manage social media pages and update information on the website as needed and continuously. You will also provide administrative support for organizing events and courses, purchases, quotes, contracts for commissioned education, and travel bookings. To some extent, financial management such as invoice processing may occur within the centers.
In addition, you will also serve as administrative support for doctoral education and the civil master's program, including learning platforms and course registrations (nationally and internationally).
The work is service-oriented with many contact points both internally and externally. The work is varied and means that you will be involved in several parts of the organization. Since this is a position that is under development, you will also be involved in developing your tasks. As an administrator, you will be part of the department's local operational support, which currently consists of five employees.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- Academic degree or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer,
- At least one year of experience in administrative work,
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365,
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

Meritorious

About the Employment
This is a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period.
An employment at the Swedish Defence University may involve a security review according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
The position may also involve military placement. If you are already military placed in your current employment at an authority and your skills are needed in the Swedish Defence University's military organization, a negotiation will take place between the relevant authority and the Swedish Defence University regarding where you will be placed.
Start Date
Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
