RESPONSIBILITIES

The work with agricultural and fisheries policy is one of the Swedish Board of Agriculture's most important missions. To meet demands and needs effectively, we work in a matrix organization where the unit for development management coordinates other departments that work with development work, changes, and improvements of the support that the Swedish Board of Agriculture is responsible for.

The unit consists of a unit manager, coordinator, and several support managers who work in two overarching teams, agricultural support and project and investment support. The teams have primary responsibility for their respective areas and collaborate on common issues.

In the role of support manager, you will lead and coordinate the work for the Swedish Board of Agriculture to implement all support on time or make changes to existing support. You will have one or more cross-functional groups with expertise from different parts of the organization to assist you. This means you have a significant responsibility to plan and prioritize the daily work for the groups you lead. Together, you will work on developing solutions that show what needs to be developed for various support, such as changes in the design of support, regulations, IT systems, and routines. Cross-functional groups also work on preparing materials for support design work. Another important part of your assignment is follow-up. You will have close contact with managers responsible for business development and will also work closely with the management of these departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with a relevant higher education and previous experience in a leadership role where you have driven work forward together with others, such as a project manager, business developer, team leader, or manager. The role involves extensive contacts, primarily internally, and therefore you need to be able to express yourself clearly and professionally in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We consider it an advantage if you have worked with EU support or support development, as well as if you have experience in public operations.

As a person, you thrive in a daily routine where you balance both strategic and operational issues. You work in a structured manner and create order even when many parts are in motion, which is important in a role where you often drive work against clear deadlines. You are stable and maintain calm even when conditions change or when many wills need to be managed simultaneously. Since the role is based on broad collaboration, you are collaborative and have an easy time building good working relationships where the focus is on achieving common results. At the same time, you are creative and can find new ways forward when the situation requires it, especially when complex issues need to be solved in both an effective and sustainable way.

We warmly welcome your application!
