The court mainly deals with cases appealed from a district court. As a judge in an administrative court, you make decisions about many different situations in people's lives, as you adjudicate disputes between individuals and authorities. Training and Work
The judicial training typically lasts four years under the guidance of experienced judges and combines practical work with theoretical education through the Court Academy.
In the first year, you will serve as a clerk in the court and work with preparation, legal investigations, presentations, proposals for decisions, and notes during hearings. This is followed by two years at a district court in Jönköping, Linköping, or Växjö. You will handle cases, adjudicate independently, and often mentor interns. The training concludes with a year of adjunct work at the court as an acting court assessor, where you work as a member with essentially the same tasks as regular judges.
