We are looking for a dedicated and analytical Accounting Manager for our finance department. Our current Accounting Manager is retiring, and we are now seeking someone to take over and continue to drive and develop the municipality's work in finance and accounting.

The finance department consists of the finance manager and eight employees. As the Accounting Manager, you will be a central part of the department's work and an important support in matters concerning municipal accounting and financial processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Accounting Manager, you play a key role in the municipality's finance function. You are responsible for ensuring accurate accounting and high quality in financial statements and reporting. The position involves both operational work and the development of routines and processes.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Responsible for financial accounting in interim reports and annual reports for the municipality and the group
  • Responsible for group accounting and consolidated reporting
  • Responsible for preparing financial statements for SCB
  • Responsible for ongoing accounting and reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT declarations and applications to the Tax Agency
  • Ensure compliance with laws, standards, and good accounting practices
  • Manage asset accounting
  • Coordinate and develop accounting routines and internal controls
  • Support managers and operations in accounting matters
  • Contact with auditors and external parties

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant university degree in finance/accounting
  • Experience in qualified accounting work within municipal operations
  • Good knowledge of accounting regulations (preferably municipal accounting)
  • Very good system skills and good Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
