We are now looking for a temporary worker for Eksjö municipality's contact center – the gateway for residents, businesses, and associations to the municipality. This position is suitable for you who are studying or have another main occupation and want a meaningful part-time job where service and good reception are at the center.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a municipal guide, you will provide information, guidance, and service to the municipality's residents, associations, businesses, and other authorities. You will do this through visits, phone calls, emails, chat, and social media. The contact center receives a large number of inquiries every day, which we either answer directly or forward to the municipality's various operations. Inquiries can range from childcare to building permits.
The contact center also works with internal services, such as managing the municipality's telephone system and ordering telephone units, handling service identities, access systems, and vehicles. Other tasks within the communications department may also arise, such as mail handling.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, solution-focused, and responsible, and who provides a good and equitable reception. You are a positive and cheerful person who enjoys collaborating with others but can also work independently.
The work requires:
- Very good computer skills and the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously.
- The ability to search for, absorb, and convey information clearly and understandably.
- Excellent proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of the English language.
- A valid driver's license (B).
We expect that you have completed your high school education. Experience in citizen service, customer service, or similar is an advantage. Local knowledge of Eksjö municipality is also a merit. Personal qualities are highly valued.
The position is a temporary job with immediate start. During 2026, we need at least 10 percent per week, as well as full-time work during parts of the summer. During certain periods, such as during sick leave, childcare, or planned vacation, you may also be offered more working hours. During school breaks and Christmas holidays, we would like you to be available for more shifts. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. To be considered for the position, you need to be flexible and able to step in at short notice if needed.
