About the role

The role is fundamentally a traditional finance role, but in a modern context where Power Query, SQL, BI, and AI are used to enhance quality, efficiency, and decision support in the finance function.

As a consultant at Meritmind, you will work on assignments where accounting, controlling, and financial analysis are at the center.

In this role, you are expected to contribute to:

• structuring and quality assuring financial data
• streamlining reporting and analysis through digital solutions
• acting as a link between finance, systems, and operations

Main responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting, year-end closing, reporting, and controlling
• Budget, forecast, and variance analyses
• Development and automation of financial reports (Excel, Power Query)
• Improvement of analysis and follow-up models in e.g. Power BI or Qlik View
• Collaboration with IT regarding ERP systems and data sources (SAP, BC, Monitor, etc.)
• Participation in digitalization and AI initiatives related to the finance function
• Ensuring data quality, documentation, and structured working methods

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in finance
• Experience as an Accounting Economist, Financial Controller, or Business Controller
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial management

We also see that you work data-driven in your finance role and therefore also have

• Very good knowledge of Excel, especially Power Query
• Understanding of databases and preferably experience with SQL
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or equivalent
• Familiarity with ERP systems and understanding of financial data flows
• Interest in how AI and automation can be used practically in finance
