Role Description
As an administrator in the Industrial Development department, you support research and development, knowledge exchange, and collaboration that contributes to technology development, innovation, and - in the long run - Swedish competitiveness.
The following technology areas are identified as strategically important for Sweden: artificial intelligence/autonomous systems, advanced digital technology (including semiconductors), quantum technology, energy technology, materials and production technology, and biotechnology. Your main tasks
Your main tasks will be to manage grant projects, engage in dialogue with external project leaders, and follow up on the results of the projects we finance. Part of the work involves administering our programs and, together with other administrators and area management, developing Vinnova's initiatives. An aspect of the work is to promote information exchange and collaboration between national actors in the area of groundbreaking and strategic technology.
Examples of tasks:
- Design initiatives in collaboration with other authorities and work operationally in the decision-making and follow-up process.
- Administer and follow up on the results of the projects we support.
- Coordinate and communicate results in various contexts.
- Represent Vinnova nationally and internationally.
Qualifications
Education:
- Academic studies relevant to the designated strategic technology areas within excellence clusters.
Experience:
- At least five years of relevant work experience in the private sector, public sector, or academia.
- At least two years of work experience where collaboration with other actors has been a central part of your tasks.
- Experience in independently leading projects.
Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of research and development, as well as an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in developing new capabilities in groundbreaking technology.
- Good knowledge of collaboration between companies, universities/colleges, and research institutes.
- Competence in one or more of the following areas: Advanced digital technology (such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, quantum technology), materials and production technology.
Language skills:
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Meritorious qualifications
- Relevant doctoral education or equivalent experience in research and innovation.
- Experience as an administrator of research and innovation projects.
- Experience collaborating with other authorities or research funders.
- Experience in international collaboration in research and innovation.
- Knowledge of the Swedish innovation system and various industries.

Placement
We apply hybrid work, meaning you can combine working from home and in the office. At least half of the working time should be spent in our activity-based office at Mäster Samuelsgatan 56, which is a few minutes' walk from Stockholm Central Station.
Employment form
Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
Salary
50,000 – 57,000 SEK/month. The upper part of the range applies to those with very long and broad experience in the field.
