The Social Services Administration has a broad area of responsibility that includes authority exercises and preventive measures, with reception and investigation units, outpatient care, family law, financial assistance, and an operational unit working with preventive measures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for another colleague. As a Budget and Debt Advisor, you will provide qualified advice and support to individuals who need help creating a sustainable long-term economy. Your work involves giving people the tools, knowledge, and guidance so that they can take control of their financial situation. This can involve everything from creating a budget, establishing payment plans, negotiating with creditors, and participating in the work surrounding an application for debt restructuring. In the work with debt restructuring, you will assist with calculations, reassessments, and appeals, but also help those who do not want or do not meet the criteria for debt restructuring to develop realistic payment proposals. The work involves independent handling of cases, but you will also have many contacts with authorities and creditors.

The role also includes some preventive information work, which means that you sometimes hold information meetings for schools, other units, and administrations within the municipality, community organizations, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree, for example, in social work, economics, law, or another area that the employer finds relevant for the position.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and can express yourself fluently in speech and writing, as well as an interest in personal finance. You have experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, and it is a merit if you have specifically worked as a budget and debt advisor before.

As a person, you have a genuine interest in service and are motivated by helping others. You have a good ability to meet various individuals seeking help in financial crises, have a respectful and pleasant demeanor, and believe in the individual's own strength and ability. You are empathetic and pedagogical in your interactions with others.
