Job Description

Are you passionate about financial management and international collaborations? At Randstad Finance, we are currently seeking a curious and analytical controller for one of our most exciting clients in the public sector, centrally located in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. Our client manages several large projects with external funding (e.g., EU funds and Sida), and we now need to strengthen their finance department with a consultant who loves to combine numbers with order and structure. The assignment is for 6 months with the possibility of extension for another 6 months at two occasions, making the maximum possible assignment length 18 months. The purpose of the assignment is to relieve the team within financial management. We are currently looking for someone who can step in and take a firm grip on project monitoring. In your role, you will among other things:

• Keep track of the numbers: You are responsible for budgeting and ongoing monitoring of the client's externally funded projects.
• Be the link to funders: You handle the important reporting back to actors such as the EU and Sida and ensure that all documentation is in place for audits.
• Analyze & report: You analyze financial outcomes against forecasts and present your insights clearly.
• Be part of the team: You support the group with various administration and contribute to smooth financial management.

Responsibilities

The purpose of the resource request is to relieve the team in the finance department that works with controlling and financial management. The assignment involves controlling projects that the Police run with external funding - i.e., projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar. This primarily involves budgeting and monitoring of the project as well as various administration.

Scope six (6) months with the possibility of extension six (6) months at two (2) occasions. The longest possible contract period is 18 months after the contract is signed. The contract period begins when the consultant has passed security clearance and is approved.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for someone who is a humble team player. You are communicative and enjoy providing good service, while also being analytical and meticulous in your work.

To be considered for the role, you MUST have:

• Experience working as a controller with projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar. Including e.g., reporting back to funders, monitoring project budgets, and reporting to auditors.
• At least one (1) year of work experience as a controller (documented experience in monitoring and analyzing financial outcomes compared to forecasts and budgets)
• Good familiarity with analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) and modern financial systems (e.g., Unit4, Raindance, or Visma).
• The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• A completed education in finance.
• A completed reference assignment that has included monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes in relation to forecasts and budgets. The assignment must be documented and verifiable through a reference person. The reference assignment can be ongoing or completed no more than three months ago.
