Placement Officer at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS)
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. At the headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 400 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 5000 employees.
Job Responsibilities
The Placement Unit is responsible for placement referrals and advice to the municipalities' social services regarding placements in special youth homes and LVM homes. The unit is also responsible for handling closed youth care concerning the execution of placements and permission issues. The unit contributes to the authority's monitoring and follow-up of changes in the demand from social services.
Your responsibilities as a placement officer include referring placements and providing advice based on the social services' assignments, ensuring that the young people and clients in need of our interventions receive the best possible placement. Placement referrals are made with the support of LVU, LVM, SoL, and LSU. You will have ongoing contacts with other parts of SiS operations and participate in various forms of collaboration both internally and externally.
As a temporary employee, you will relieve regular staff during illness or other absences, as well as during the holiday period.
Qualifications
You should have:
- Experience working with cases supported by relevant legislation such as SoL, LVU, LVM, or LSU
- Ongoing higher education in a relevant field, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Good communication skills to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience from SiS, municipalities, correctional services, or similar operations
As a person, you enjoy building and maintaining good relationships. You are factual, efficient, and meticulous with strong administrative skills. You also have a good ability to handle a high workload while maintaining structure. To thrive in the position, you need to be relationship-oriented and enjoy close and unpretentious collaboration with your colleagues.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment
Scope: The position refers to temporary employment as needed. We would like you to be able to work during the summer months.
Start date: as soon as possible, by agreement.
