Our operations

We are now looking for an analytical, structured, and committed local strategist for the finance department.

Here, you will have a central and advisory role in the municipality's strategic local supply.

About the operation
The position is located in the Finance Department, which is part of the Municipal Executive Office. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Here, you will work broadly, strategically, and have a significant impact on community development in Värmdö. We look forward to hearing from you!

Your mission

As a local strategist, you will coordinate the municipality's strategic local supply work and develop the local supply process. You will work from a holistic perspective and participate in planning in the early stages, where you contribute with long-term thinking, coordination, and oversight.

In close collaboration with the municipality's operations, you will serve as process support in local procurement, downsizing, and changes. You will also have close dialogue with management and the real estate organization in the development of the municipality's operational premises.

Your role includes:

  • compiling, analyzing, and quality assuring the operations' local plans
  • producing investigations and preliminary studies on behalf of the municipal management
  • preparing matters for decision
  • ensuring that the municipality's local supply is sustainable and well-coordinated in the long term

This is a management-close, advisory, and strategically important function where you are a driving force in the development of future premises.

Your main tasks

  • Lead and develop the local supply process
  • Monitor and ensure that the process is followed throughout the administration
  • Develop working methods and processes
  • Coordinate the municipality's overall local supply plan
  • Support local coordinators in their work with local needs plans and needs investigations
  • Summon and lead relevant forums: local coordinators, property managers, operational forum, and strategic forum

Investigations and projects

  • Act as the client for investigations decided by the municipal council
  • Participate in steering groups and ensure that goals, purpose, and budget are followed in preliminary projects and investigations
  • Be responsible for investigations where local needs can be solved through co-location, leasing, or adaptation – including project management in these parts

Local supply and rental issues

  • Work with the rental model – adjustments, development, and updates
  • Manage the rental file and local compensation from 2027 related to increased local costs
  • Coordinate all leasing and termination of premises, internally and externally

Governance, routines, and collaboration

  • Manage application routines for local supply and property management
  • Be a counterpart to project managers in detailed planning processes to ensure that the need for operational premises is raised
  • Participate in other local-related groups and forums, such as housing supply work
