We are looking for a senior project-leading planning consultant for a municipal planning unit within community building. The unit works with detailed planning, strategic planning (ÖP/FÖP), and related development efforts. The role involves ensuring progress and delivery in the operations and contributing to improved working methods and shorter processing times.

You will work closely with the unit's coordinator and an acting planning manager who has operational, personnel, and budget responsibilities. The assignment may also include other tasks within the planning unit as needed.

• Ensure the planning unit's progress and delivery within relevant operational areas in line with political direction
• Drive ongoing development work focusing on simplified working methods and improved processing times
• Support junior and less experienced employees as needed
• Contribute to other tasks within the planning unit based on operational needs

• Documented experience in leadership and/or project management
• Experience supporting junior or less experienced employees
• Experience from politically governed organizations or public operations
• Experience in detailed and comprehensive planning
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as PBL and MB
• Experience in managing work in project form and leading larger change initiatives focusing on effective working methods and simplification, with documented and measurable results
• Holistic view of the community building process related to sustainable development, sustainable urban and rural development, and dialogue and communication with property owners

• Experience in handling complex planning challenges such as large planning queues, planning preparedness for single-family housing and commercial land, and development issues related to water and individual sewage systems
