Lawyers Wanted at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority

Are you a highly skilled lawyer with work experience in qualified legal work? Are you a team player interested in working on important societal issues in a central part of a dynamic and exciting authority? We at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) are currently looking for two qualified lawyers! One position is permanent and the other is a fixed-term contract for one year.

About the Job

As a lawyer in the Banking Law department, you will conduct qualified legal analyses and assessments in various contexts. You will draft decisions and documents and legally quality assure others' work. Your tasks also include being responsible for regulatory projects/regulations and providing legal support, which includes participating in investigations, driving sanction cases, and representing in court. This involves working closely with the authority's chief legal officer and board.

The work involves close collaboration with colleagues within the authority and also contact with industry representatives, the Government Offices, and EU authorities.

Your Education and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a law degree (jur.kand. or equivalent)
  • has solid relevant experience in qualified legal work from courts, the Government Offices, or another relevant authority
  • expresses themselves well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you:

  • are an assessor from the Court of Appeal or Administrative Court
  • have experience in legislative work
  • have knowledge of the regulations governing financial companies
  • are familiar with the financial system and companies under FI's supervision.
