Relevant legislation includes the Social Services Act and the Act on Special Provisions concerning the Care of Young People (LVU).

As a case officer with us, you will have a varied and developing job in an operation of great societal importance. The tasks include both ongoing issues and long-term development efforts. You will, among other things, prepare materials and meetings, handle parliamentary questions and interpellations, and participate in the coordination of unit-wide processes. The work may also include drafting proposals for bills, government assignments, and committee directives, as well as following up and analyzing issues within social care for children and youth.

The position includes collaboration with other parts of the Government Offices, authorities, and external actors. You may also represent Sweden in various national and international processes and contexts. The tasks may change over time depending on current priorities.

You have experience in the social policy area as well as experience in investigative and analytical work in government or municipal operations. You have excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as good knowledge of English.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in the Government Offices and good knowledge of social services and crime prevention work. It is also considered an advantage if you have a good understanding of the demands of working in a politically governed operation.

Your Qualities

The employee criteria of the Government Offices are wholeness, development, and results. Everyone working in the Government Offices needs to have a holistic view and collaborate for the best of the operation. You are expected to contribute your perspective and expertise while being open to others. You come with ideas and new approaches to improve and develop the operation and your own skills. To succeed in the role, you need to have a very good ability to independently plan, coordinate, and drive processes. You take initiative and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You work in a structured and quality-conscious manner and have good judgment.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and your ability to function well in our team and contribute to the development within the unit.
