Advokatfirman Carler is now looking for an accounting assistant who wants to learn the profession from the ground up and develop long-term.

About the role

As an accounting assistant, you will be part of the firm's finance function and work closely with three experienced colleagues who will support you in your development. The role is practical and structured, with clear tasks and processes. Here you will have the opportunity to gradually build your competence in finance and accounting at a structured and careful pace. The work is largely manual and requires accuracy and understanding of flows. You will learn how accounting works in practice, from the basics and beyond, with clear introduction and ongoing support. Part of the role involves collaboration with the firm's lawyers in the so-called monitoring process, which is closely related to finance. It is not a requirement to know this from the start; the most important thing is that you are curious and want to learn. Examples of tasks include:

• Basic bookkeeping and financial administration
• Practical handling of financial flows and bank matters
• Work in accounting systems
• Administrative support to the finance function
• Responsible for the monitoring process, checking claims in connection with bankruptcy or reconstruction

We are looking for someone who

• Is a recent graduate with some experience in finance or accounting
• Wants to learn the basics thoroughly and build long-term competence
• Is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious; it is more important that it is done correctly than quickly
• Is able to take instructions easily and follow processes step by step, and is willing to ask questions when needed
• Enjoys detailed work that is largely manual
• Likes to work in the office and collaborate closely with colleagues

The role requires on-site work at the office, as collaboration, learning, and responsibility require physical presence. The office is located on Kungsgatan in Stockholm and offers a safe and professional work environment where you can develop alongside experienced colleagues. For the right person, there are good opportunities to grow in the role and take on broader responsibilities over time. Once the basics are in place and the work is performed with high quality, there is an opportunity to develop a specialist competence, for example in bankruptcy and insolvency-related accounting, an area with high demand.
