The Social Services Department's labor market unit (AME) has the primary task of supporting unemployed residents in various ways towards sustainable self-sufficiency. AME works, among other things, on behalf of the Employment Agency and the support and welfare unit within the Social Services Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your task is to create a safe, inspiring, and developing work environment for participants in various parts of our practical operations. By being present daily, you support, motivate, and coach individuals in both planning and executing tasks.

The supervision aims to gradually strengthen the participants' independence, sense of responsibility, and work ability, with the goal of bringing them closer to work or studies. You assist caseworkers and occupational therapists in mapping, assessing, and following up on individuals' resources, obstacles, and needs for adjustments. This is done through structured work moments where participants get to try different types of tasks, providing a basis for assessing abilities, areas for development, and support needs.

Your role includes planning, organizing, and being responsible for various work areas within the practical operations, including in our studio. You adapt tasks according to individuals' conditions and ensure that the operations maintain good quality, structure, and work environment. You also lead groups and hold lectures and workshops on various health-related themes to strengthen participants' physical, mental, and social health.

The work is characterized by a solution-focused approach where participation, motivation, and empowerment are at the center. The assignment also includes: -documenting participants' development and progression, -collaborating with colleagues and external actors -contributing to the development of the operations' working methods and approaches, -actively working for an inclusive, developing, and open work climate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position are:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably college or university
  • Previous experience as a supervisor, in creative activities, textile operations, or other practical activities
  • Experience leading groups with special needs and conducting groups to strengthen individuals' physical, mental, and social health
  • Driver's license B
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with work-oriented rehabilitation
  • Knowledge and experience of resource-strengthening methods in the area such as MI, BIP, ACT, KUB, and working with visual support

To succeed in the role, you are self-driven, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and drive processes forward even in changing conditions. You have good pedagogical insight, adapt your communication to different individuals' needs, and have the ability to make well-founded assessments in complex situations.
