Unit for Industry Competitiveness, Ministry of Climate and Enterprise

The Unit for Industry Competitiveness is responsible for issues concerning the competitiveness, development, and resilience of industries including life sciences, mining and mineral industries, basic industries, manufacturing, the industrial service sector, as well as tourism and hospitality. The unit is also responsible for matters related to geological surveys, mineral extraction, and prospecting. Additionally, it oversees the authority of the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU).
The unit is now seeking a temporary reinforcement to assist in various parts of the unit's work, with a particular focus on EU matters and the industrial transition. The role includes preparing cases and producing materials based on requests from political leadership.
The work is characterized by close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues in the unit and in other units within the Government Offices, the department's management, and with the agencies of the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise.

Your Background
A relevant academic education is required for the position, such as natural sciences, law, economics, or social sciences. We expect you to have experience in policy development related to business, climate, or environmental issues. You should have relevant experience working in the Government Offices or another relevant authority. Knowledge of Swedish public administration is also required.
You must have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience in working with policy issues related to industrial policy is an advantage. Knowledge of the conditions of the business sector and the unit's areas of responsibility is desirable. Furthermore, we would like you to have knowledge of the processes within the Government Offices. Familiarity with EU matters and EU processes is also preferred.

The employment is a temporary position for approximately 6 months, starting in early March/April.
