Medical Secretary at BUP Skärholmen

Are you passionate about providing excellent service? Do you enjoy structuring your work with a focus on efficiency and high quality? BUP Skärholmen is now looking for a positive and service-oriented medical secretary who wants to contribute to helping our patients and their families.

BUP Skärholmen is a child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic serving the areas of Hägersten-Liljeholmen, Älvsjö, Skärholmen, and northern Botkyrka. We are located in pleasant premises in Skärholmen's mall. Our mission is to assess and treat children and adolescents aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions.

Job Responsibilities

As a medical secretary, you will work with standard administrative tasks such as documentation and bookings in Take Care and Pastill, phone calls, reception work, and administrative support. You will also have several other responsibilities, such as managing orders in Clockwork, handling the personnel system Heroma, and participating in the development and implementation of methods and working practices. You will work closely with the unit manager.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a degree as a medical secretary and experience in outpatient care, preferably within child psychiatry. To succeed in this role, you need to have good IT skills. Experience with Pastill, Heroma, Raindance, and Take Care is an advantage.

About Us

BUP Skärholmen is part of BUP Stockholm. The child and adolescent psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents under 18 years within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area, which is a provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we at BUP Stockholm have over 1,200 employees who meet more than 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families each year.

The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

In patient-related work within Stockholm County's healthcare area:

  • background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before hiring.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
