KMA Coordinator at Verdis in Järfälla

We are looking for a KMA Coordinator who is passionate about quality, environment, and workplace safety to join Verdis in Järfälla. Verdis is growing and will take over responsibility for waste collection in Bromma from April 2026, with Stockholm Vatten och Avfall as our client and partner. For this mission, we are now seeking a structured and communicative KMA Coordinator, who will be an important support function in the department regarding investigation, follow-up, and documentation related to quality, environment, and workplace safety.

About the Position

As a KMA Coordinator with us, you will work closely with operations. You will facilitate good communication with our environmental workers, clients, and other parties to drive and develop long-term and sustainable solutions within quality, environment, and workplace safety. You will be responsible for investigating and following up on workplace safety issues, designing risk assessments and action plans, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal guidelines. You will also follow up and develop the department's KMA plan and issues related to ISO.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Contact and collaboration with clients and employees regarding quality, environment, and workplace safety issues.
  • Follow up on compliance with sustainability plans and anti-corruption guidelines.
  • Ensure that established routines and instructions are followed and contribute to developing and standardizing them as needed.
  • Participate and provide support in conducting and following up on self-inspections at the depot.
  • Establish and maintain a chemical inventory and ensure that used chemicals are approved and that current safety data sheets are available.
  • Inform and educate staff on the safe handling and use of chemicals.
  • Participate in workplace introductions, APT, and workplace safety group meetings with information about routines and practices within KMA issues.
  • Support the organization in obtaining permits and licenses and in the handling of hazardous waste if necessary.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a couple of years of experience in a similar role and has good knowledge of workplace safety legislation and regulations.
  • Has experience working with risk assessments and developing and following up on action plans.
  • Is accustomed to working with key figures, follow-up, and deviation management.
  • Has strong administrative skills with good computer and system proficiency as well as good knowledge of Excel.
  • Has excellent communication skills in both spoken and written form.
  • Has experience in training and developing employees.
  • Has a valid driver's license (B).

Location: The position is based at our new depot in Veddesta, Järfälla.
Start date: April/May 2026.
