The Supervisory Authority is a municipal supervisory authority with the task of overseeing the work carried out by guardians, administrators, and custodians for minors and the property of principals. The operations are primarily governed by the rules in the Parental Code, the Guardianship Ordinance, and the Administrative Procedure Act.

The municipalities of Härryda, Kungsbacka, Mölndal, Partille, and Öckerö have a joint supervisory organization called Supervisors in Cooperation. The municipalities have also established a joint supervisory board. The population of the cooperating municipalities is approximately 250,000 inhabitants.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The joint organization consists of 14 employees and is located in Mölndal where the supervisory authority is part of the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Department in the City Management Administration. As one employee chooses to move on to another position after many years, there is now a vacant position for this important role and an opportunity to become part of a very competent and friendly workgroup.

As a supervisory officer, you will work with supervision and processing of cases related to guardianship, administration, and custodianship. This includes independent decision-making and supervision in matters for which the supervisory authority is responsible, making legal assessments, and processing qualified cases. The work also includes reviewing accounting documents, writing applications and statements to the court, and, where applicable, representing the authority in court.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a relevant academic degree in law, economics, social sciences, or other education that we consider equivalent. We prefer that you have work experience in law, case processing, or similar fields. Experience from public operations is a plus but not a requirement.

As a person, you are social and service-oriented and have a good ability to meet people and handle different situations in a professional manner, especially from a supervisory perspective. We are looking for someone who:

• Takes initiative and works independently and structured, even in a high-paced environment.
• Has a positive attitude towards change and development work.
• Is used to working with IT and has an interest in digital and technical solutions.

Furthermore, you are analytical and express yourself well in both speech and writing. Good collaboration skills are important to us, and we appreciate that you have a flexible and humble approach. At the same time, it is important that you dare to express your opinions and be clear.
