We need more lawyers who can think strategically and creatively.

The Department for Children and Families administers several different social insurance benefits – including parental allowance, pregnancy allowance, maintenance support, and housing allowance. The Legal Support area is responsible for the department's reconsideration activities, litigation in court, and the legal support close to case handling. We currently have five litigators in the Children and Family department located in Gothenburg and Sundsvall. We are in an exciting phase of development and need to grow. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking personal responsibility for their tasks.

Legal issues, reviews, and negotiations

As a litigator, you represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in social insurance cases in administrative courts and administrative courts of appeal. The work involves both written case handling and oral negotiations in administrative courts. The role includes development work where you actively work to improve our methods and participate in legal quality follow-ups as needed.

In the role of litigator, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness to work with us.

We are looking for someone who

• has a law degree (jur. kand.) or equivalent legal education
• is a court clerk or has equivalent competence, such as other experience in court or in reconsideration and/or appeal processes within an authority
• acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for high-quality results
• has a systematic and meticulous working method
• can understand and analyze complex issues
• communicates clearly, distinctly, and structured
• collaborates effectively to achieve common goals.

It is advantageous if you

• have current experience in social insurance cases in administrative courts
• have good knowledge of administrative procedural law and social insurance law
• have knowledge within the relevant department's insurance area.

Other

A permanent, full-time position, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Psychological tests may be used as part of the selection process.
