Payroll Consultant Wanted at Västra Mälardalen Municipal Association

We are now looking for a payroll consultant who wants to provide high-level customer service in the payroll area. As part of our team, you will be first-line support and handle incoming inquiries via phone and our case management system.

We are looking for someone who wants to join us on the journey towards a more digital and service-oriented payroll department!

In the payroll department, we are 15 people divided into payroll consultants, payroll specialists, and system administrators. Our most important task is to provide our customers with good service so that all employees receive the correct salary on time. We have a strong focus on business development and continuous improvements where you will become an important part of our dedicated team.

As a payroll consultant with us, you will serve our customers in four member municipalities: Köping, Arboga, Kungsör, and Surahammar, along with associated municipal companies and the Mälardalen Rescue Service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer questions about salaries, employment contracts, and other payroll-related processes.
• Manage and follow up on cases in our case management system.
• Scheduled customer service support.
• Perform payroll checks before payroll runs and ensure that information is correct.
• Administration of personnel records, archiving, and disposal of certain documents.
• Work closely with our payroll specialists to ensure correct and efficient processes.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction, effective working methods, and a good working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to be an educated payroll consultant or have another education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. We prefer that you have experience with the personnel system Personec. Experience working in municipal operations is an advantage. To succeed in this role, you also need to have a good understanding of the collective agreement General Provisions.

You have good social skills and a positive attitude where good collaboration is a given for you.

Since we in the payroll department have clear deadlines to adhere to, it is important that you have the ability to independently perform your tasks on time with good quality.

Furthermore, we see that you have an effective working method and a good ability to prioritize tasks. You also need to express yourself well in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, with the ability to adapt your language to different situations, purposes, and audiences.
