About the position

With us, you will be part of the municipality's ongoing development journey, focusing on strengthening the business climate and providing good conditions for entrepreneurship in Köping. You will work closely with engaged colleagues, have broad contact areas, and collaborate with local businesses and partners both within the municipality and regionally.

The position is newly established, which means you will have the opportunity to shape it to some extent together with the business manager based on your experience. As a business strategist, you will be an important part of the municipality's work for a growing and sustainable business sector. You will work closely with the business manager and be responsible for driving and coordinating issues related to growth, skills supply, business climate, establishments, and internal collaboration. The role has both strategic and operational characteristics.

The position offers you a developing context with great scope to influence, with a clear next step for those who want to take on the role of business manager in a smaller or medium-sized municipality in a few years.

Together with a team consisting of a business coordinator, a business developer, and a business manager, you will work for the best of Köping with a clear focus on developing the business sector. The department is organizationally placed under the Municipal Executive Administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Driving development initiatives for business growth and establishment
• Coordinating the municipality's work with skills supply and business climate
• Representing the municipality in networks, collaboration forums, and projects
• Contributing to the monitoring and analysis of quality issues within business development
• Acting as a link between business and the municipality's internal organization

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

You have several years of experience working with business issues, preferably in the public sector. You are accustomed to moving between strategy and practice, see opportunities where others see obstacles, and have a genuine commitment to the local business climate.

You are confident in speaking on behalf of the organization, build relationships with ease, and thrive with a high degree of independence in your daily work. If you also have the ambition to eventually take on a leadership role in municipal business development, then this is a perfect opportunity.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in areas such as economics, urban planning, or political science, or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in business development, growth, or skills issues
• Good analytical skills and experience working strategically
• Good ability to work coordinatively and results-oriented
• Meritorious experience representing a municipality externally

Salary and start date according to agreement. For this role, the salary range is generally between 46,000 - 51,000 SEK/month based on competence and experience.
