Accounting Assistant for a Well-Known Company in Västerås

SJR is looking for a driven Accounting Assistant for our client, a well-known company with an office in Västerås. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting on February 9th and lasting until the end of the year with a chance for extension.

About the Position

The role involves ensuring an efficient and accurate customer and supplier invoicing process and contributing to creating and maintaining good customer relationships. Together with the team, you will continuously work to maintain an accurate accounts receivable and payable for the stores and their group companies and support the business in achieving its goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure handling of customer and supplier invoices
• Perform ongoing reconciliations
• Conduct qualitative requirement management
• Have daily contact with the customer, their customers, and internal functions
• Investigate and analyze discrepancies to ensure accurate accounts
• Participate in year-end closing by ensuring correct documentation
• Initiate and contribute to improvements in processes and workflows

Suitable Background

We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of accounting processes who has preferably worked for a few years with accounts receivable or payable. You are comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously and have an interest in digitization and automation of administrative flows. Good knowledge of Excel is an advantage, as is experience with systems like Agresso or Cosmoz. If you have previously worked with similar tasks and are looking for a new developmental challenge, you will fit well into the role.
