Fortifications Agency is looking for a Security Officer

Your Everyday Life – Strengthening Sweden's Security

The Fortifications Agency is currently in a strong expansion phase with significant investment volumes to continue developing and building properties and facilities within total defense. The security department is responsible for security protection at the Fortifications Agency. The work includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, signal protection, and security protection agreements. The security department currently employs about 70 staff members.

The group currently consists of security protection officers who support the agency's employees in the processes regarding security protection agreements through advice and training. They work with security assessments of suppliers, ensuring through qualified assessments that only companies and individuals who are reliable and loyal from a security perspective participate in the agency's security-sensitive operations.

The role of the Security Officer involves assisting security protection officers in handling and coordinating incoming cases and inquiries. You will support the group with administration and record-keeping. A large part of the work involves data entry, handling documentation, and some mail management. Many tasks require great accuracy.

You are expected to have a holistic perspective and be able to coordinate the group's subprocesses. You will also serve as a liaison internally with other departments and with external actors as well as other authorities and organizations.

The position is based in Eskilstuna, and travel is required. The position requires you to work 100% on-site in Eskilstuna and does not offer the possibility of remote or home work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education, an interest in security, and several years of experience in processing within an agency. You have experience in structured work with personal responsibility and a willingness and ability to take initiative. You have experience in absorbing written information and an interest in applying regulations. You have experience collaborating with various professional categories and are accustomed to working towards long-term goals. You have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of support systems, and excellent knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. A Class B driver's license is required.

It is advantageous if you have experience working with security issues in a security-related environment. It is also beneficial if you are familiar with the Swedish Armed Forces' or Security Police's regulations regarding security protection.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at the Fortifications Agency is security classified.
