Job Description

We are looking for someone with experience in qualified accounting and a genuine interest in accounting issues. At the Swedish Accounting Standards Board (BFN), you will have the opportunity to delve into the Board's regulations and contribute to the development of good accounting practices. We appreciate someone who enjoys writing and can simplify complex issues.

We are a government agency that sets the framework for good accounting practices in Sweden. Currently, we have six colleagues, mainly economists and lawyers, but we are growing and will soon be eight. At our office, you will encounter a friendly atmosphere and close collaboration.

As part of the team, you will have a varied and responsible role. You will contribute to the development of good accounting practices, respond to inquiries from the public, answer consultations, and present cases to the Board. There are also opportunities for exciting assignments by participating in investigations within the committee system or assisting the Government Offices in accounting matters.

Responsibilities

As an accounting expert, your responsibilities will include:

·        Updating the K2 and K3 regulations and other normative guidance primarily for non-listed companies

·        Responding to consultations from departments and authorities

·        Answering questions from and informing the public, other authorities, and industry organizations

In addition, the role may also involve:

·        Participating in the management of the taxonomies developed for digital submission of annual reports and contributing to the development of new taxonomies

·        Assisting the Government Offices in accounting matters

·        Participating in investigations within the committee system

·        Drafting opinions for courts on what good accounting practices entail

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

·        An academic degree in economics or equivalent qualifications deemed comparable by the employer

·        Experience working with qualified accounting issues

·        Practical and theoretical knowledge of the K2 and K3 regulations

·        An interest in delving into accounting issues

·        The ability to work independently

It is advantageous if you have:

·        An interest in and experience with digitalization

To thrive in this role, we envision you as an analytical person driven by curiosity about new issues. Since we often work on projects, both internally and externally, we value someone who is unpretentious, enjoys collaborating with others, and is comfortable taking responsibility.

The role involves many contacts with those who apply our normative guidance, and we believe you will enjoy communicating and explaining things simply. You will draft texts for the website and materials for the Board, so you need to be able to write clearly and understandably about complex issues. As circumstances can change, it is beneficial if you are flexible and can weigh different interests in a neutral and factual manner. We place great importance on finding the right person to complement our team.

In this recruitment, the Swedish Accounting Standards Board (BFN) is collaborating with Randstad. We welcome your application by February 20. If you have any questions, please contact the responsible recruitment consultant, Jenny Gillard at [email protected]

For us, it is important to utilize all competencies in the labor market. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity. Your documents may become public records.
