Supervisor in the Preschool Area

About the Position

The Supervision and Legal Unit currently consists of 9 employees, including supervisory educators, an authorization office for adult education, school lawyers, and a unit manager. The unit handles supervision of independent preschools, legal investigations within the school sector, decisions on additional funding, and contract follow-ups within adult education. The unit is part of the Education Support Department, which operates with a vision to deliver legally secure and equitable government decisions based on applicable regulations to the citizens of Täby, municipal and independent educational operations, with a focus on good service and positive interactions.

As a supervisor in the preschool area, you will primarily work on supervising independent preschools in the municipality. Supervisors check that the activities being reviewed meet the requirements set by laws and other regulations, prepare decision-making materials for the approval of new preschools to the committee, and conduct ownership and management assessments of the independent operators. The role also includes answering inquiries from guardians, principals, and operators, as well as contributing to the quality development of the operational area.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a relevant post-secondary pedagogical education and experience in preschool operations. You enjoy both collaborating with others and working independently. Since the job involves many contacts, it requires a strong ability to communicate and build trust. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines.

As an applicant, you have:

• good insight into school legislation
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• the ability to investigate, analyze, and process information

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in government operations, especially in supervision
• principal training
• special education training
